Fawad Tamkanat was born in 1962 in Hyderabad. He has had a prolific career spanning over 100 solo exhibitions of paintings and printmaking in India and abroad. His international exposure began in 1996 when he participated in installation workshops and learned printmaking from European artists. This collaboration shaped his artistic journey, leading to solo shows, artist-in-residence programs, and art workshops in Scandinavia. His works are part of prestigious collections at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi and the Imago Mundi Museum in Italy. His current series of cityscapes is his ode to towns in India, the Netherlands, Paris, and the Middle East. Each painting is deeply personal, reflecting his unique impressions of the cities and cherished experiences. With a gold medal in both BFA and MFA, Fawad has been unafraid to reinvent himself as an artist. His art has gained tremendous international recognition and appreciation, reflecting his meticulous craftsmanship and passion. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, including his 100th international show at the Miami Art Show in 2015.
