Afza is a talented artist born in 1990 in Hyderabad, India. She earned a BFA from Jawaharlal Nehru Fine Arts and Architecture University (2011) and an MFA from Hyderabad Central University (2014). Afza has showcased her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions globally. Her notable solo shows include participation in the Affordable Art Fair in Melbourne and New York (2018-2019), World Art Dubai (2016-2017), and the Singapore Art Fair (2017). Her group exhibitions span countries such as Taiwan, New Zealand, Singapore, and India, with significant shows like "Art Revolution Taipei" (2020) and "The Dot That Went for a Walk" in Mumbai (2019). She has also been part of several art camps and collaborations, including "Colors of Statehood" (2016) and "Art Telangana" (2014). Her works are in private collections across the world, including in Singapore, Italy, the USA, Dubai, Germany, and Miami. Afza is deeply inspired by the city she grew up in – Hyderabad. It is central to her deeply nostalgic paintings. Her sensitive impressions of the city are recreated through different mediums. She uses her art to communicate complex emotions and her passionate stance on various socio-political issues. She often uses a sepia colour palette that further lends itself to her theme.
