One of Bengal’s most prominent artists today, Somenath drives his inspiration from the urban cities of today and translates them beautifully on canvas as abstract landscapes. He uses strong colours and builds his paintings like structures, layer by layer. His greatest strength lies in how he uses colour in his paintings. The colours are bold and come together to create striking artworks with universal appeal.
